Tourde was born in 0970 in Port Audemer, Normandy, France.  Tourde's father was Torfe De Harcourt and his mother was Ertemberge De Brioquibec.  His paternal grandparents were Bernard Bernard Lord De Harcourt and Sprote Bourgoyne; his maternal grandfather was Lancelot De Brioquibec. He had a brother named Turchetil.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 62 in 1032.
