William De Hambleton

William was born about 1160 in Greece. William's father was Earl of Leicester Robert De Beaumont Earl of Leicester and his mother was Petronille De Grentemesnil. His paternal grandparents were Earl of Leicester Robert "Bossu" De Beaumont Earl of Leicester and Amice De Gael; his maternal grandparents were Hugh De Grentemesnil and Alice De Beaumont. He had two sisters named Margaret and Amicie. He was the second oldest of the three children.
