Alina was born about 1140. Alina's father was Earl of Pembroke Gilbert FitzGilbert De Clare Earl of Pembroke and her mother was Isabel Elizabeth De Beaumont. Her maternal grandparents were Earl of Leicester Robert De Beaumont Earl of Leicester and Isabel De Crepi De Vermandois. She had a brother named Richard "Strongbow" Fitzgilbert. She was the younger of the two children. She had three half-sisters named Alice Of, Emma Princess Of and Constance Matilda.-
