Robert was born about 1046 in Beaumont-le-Roger, Eure, Normandy, France.  Robert's father was Roger de Beaumont and his mother was Adeliza (Adeline) Meulent.  His paternal grandparents were Humphrey De Harcourt and Alberie (Nevia) De La Haye; his maternal grandparents were Waleran Beaumont and Oda De Conteville. He had a brother named Henri.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died on June 5th, 1128 in Leicester, Leicestershire, England.


Robert's first family with Isabel De Crepi De Vermandois

‌Robert and Isabel De Crepi were married in a religious ceremony in 1096.  They had two sons and four daughters, named Robert "Bossu", Waleran IV, Isabel Elizabeth, Adeline, Alice and Maud.


Robert's second family with Amice De Montfort

They had two daughters named Eleanor and Maud (Amicia).
