Thomas was born about 1430 in Cothrop, Oxford, England. Thomas' father was John Danvers and his mother was Joane Bruley. His paternal grandparents were Richard Danvers and Agnes Brancestre , Heiress of Cothorp. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named William, Henry, Simon, Edward, Joan, Agnes, Amicia, Elizabeth, Miss, Margaret and Bova. He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children. He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Thomas, Robert, John, Richard, Thomas, Agnes and Alicia.-
