Matilda DE MONTGOMERY

Matilda was born in 1040 in Montagne, France.  Matilda's father was Earl Roger II Of Shrewsbury DE MONTGOMERY and her mother was Mabel DE Belleme Of Alencon TALVAS DE ALENCON.  Her maternal grandparents were Lord William II Talvas Of Belleme and Alencon DE  BELLEME and Hildeburga DE BEAUMONT. She had two brothers and a sister, named Hugh Of Shrewsbury, Robert II Of Shrewsbury And Arundel and Sybil.  She was the oldest of the four children.

‌Matilda and Robert DE Burgo Of Cornwall were married in a religious ceremony before 1066.
