Adeliza Alice was born in 1055 in Beaumont, France. Adeliza Alice's father was Count// Yves II DE BEAUMONT and her mother was Judith Adela DE GOURNAY. Her paternal grandparents were Count Yves I DE BEAUMONT-SUR-OISE and Gisele CHEVREUSE. She had a brother and a sister, named Eudes and DE BEAUMONT. She had a half-sister named Agnes. Credited with the first unification of the country, convertedthe Danes to Christianity, and conquered Norway. After hisBaptism his fathers pagan tomb was transformed into a Christianplace of worship.
Introduced Christianity into Denmark, he had the famous Jellingrune stone erected in his parent memory. He was fatally woundedduring a rebellion by his son and successor, Sveng I.
