Richard "the Justiciar" Comte was born about 0867 in France. Richard "the Justiciar" Comte's father was King Of Provence Budwine (Bouin) Graf Von Metz King Of Provence and his mother was Richilde de Arles. His paternal grandfather was Richard Comte D'Amiens; his maternal grandfather was Count of Turin Boso III "the Old" of Turin Count of Turin. He had a brother and a sister, named Boso and Von Metz. BIOGRAPHY: In the early 880s, his brother, BOSON, king of Provence, made him count of Autun. By 890, Richard, who, by then, was known by his nickname, "The Justiciar" was also master of Sens, Auxerre, and Troyes. This was the Frankish portion of the ancient kingdom of Burgundy and was destined to become the Duchy of Burgundy under the Capetian kings of France.
