John was born in 1403 in Of, Torksey, Lincolnshire, England and his baptism took place in (15-1419).  John's father was John DARCY (SIR) and his mother was Margarethe GREY. He had a brother and four sisters, named Phillip, Joan (Johanna), Elizabeth, Matilda (Maud) and Margery.  He was the second youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 55 in 1458.
