Bledri Latimer ap was born about 1085 in Cilsant Castle, St Clears, Dyfed, Carmarthenshire, Wales. Bledri Latimer ap's father was Cydifor "Fawr" ap Collwyn , of Blaen Cuch and his mother was Elinor verch Llywarch , Heiress of Cilsant. His paternal grandfather was Collwyn ap Gwyn , of Blaen Cuch; his maternal grandfather was Llywarch "Fawr" ap Llawen , of Cilsant. He had a brother named Llewelyn "Fawr" ap. He was the older of the two children. He died after 1117.General Notes
