Emma was born about 1030 in Tillieres, Anjou, France. Emma's father was Gilbert Crispin , Seigneur de Tillieres & Bec and her mother was Gunnora d' Aunou. She had a brother and a sister, named Gilbert and Hesilia (Elise). She was the second oldest of the three children.
