His paternal grandparents were William Constable , of Halsham, Sir and Cecilia Thweng , Heiress of Flamborough; his maternal grandparents were Piers II de Mauley , Sheriff Northamptonshire and Unknown 2nd Wife. Robert seems extremely long lived. However his elder brother William died 1319, so his birth year seems about right. Maybe he was dead long before 1378. I originally had "bef. Jun 1368" before finding the SGM source, which I am keeping. In fact the same SGM source has Marmaduke's father dead 1267/71, which would make Marmaduke live at minimum 1272-1378, and possibly 1268-1378.
