Idoine Comyn

Idoine was born about 1215 in Buchan, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Idoine's father was William Comyn , 1st Earl of Buchan and her mother was Margaret Heiress of Buchan. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Comyn , Justiciar of Scotland and Hextilda of Tynedale; her maternal grandfather was Fergus 4th Earl of Buchan. She had a brother and two sisters, named Alexander, Margaret and Elizabeth. She was the oldest of the four children. She had two half-brothers named Walter and Richard.
