Margaret de Clifford 
Margaret de was born about 1303 in Appleby Castle, Westmorland, England. Margaret de's father was Robert I 1st Baron de Clifford , Sir and her mother was Maud de Clare. Her paternal grandparents were Roger III de Clifford , Justice of Forests and Isabel de Vipont; her maternal grandparents were Thomas de Clare , Lord of Thomond, Gov London and Juliane FitzMaurice. She had two brothers and a sister, named Robert II 3rd Baron de, Roger IV 2nd Baron de and Idoine de. She died on August 8th, 1382.General Notes

(c) She is said by some to have been a daughter of Robert, Lord Clifford.

Note: MCS "shows" Margaret as daughter of Isabel de Berkeley and Robert de Clifford (I have as her brother), accompanied by the following warning "Note: Clay (on pp. 133-4) says No. 7 [Margaret] child of Gen 6 [Isabel & Robert], but on p. 22 does not show Margaret with children of Gen. 6. CP says only Sir Piers (Gen 7) m. Margaret said to be daughter of Robert Lord Clifford, but does not say which, and no evidence cited. Line not proven at this point." Ancestral Roots shows and states that Margaret is daughter of Robert de Clifford & Maud de Clare (as I am showing it); thus I assume that questions were resolved and I have it correct.
