His paternal grandparents were Lord Of Alnwick Eustace Fitzjohn De Eustas Fitzjohn Lord Of Alnwick/Burgo and Matilda Agnes Fitznigel. He had two brothers and three sisters, named John Fitzrichard De, Robert, Mary, Albreda and Aubrey. He had three half-brothers named Roger Fitz-Richard, Robert and Roger.-
