Richard FitzRichard de was born in 1062 in Tunbridge, Kent, England.  Richard FitzRichard de's father was Richard FitzGilbert 1st Earl de Clare and his mother was Rohese Giffard. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Gilbert Fitz Richard de, Robert, Rohese FitzRichard de, Avice de, Ronais FitzGilbert de and Avoise de.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 45 in 1107 in Ely, Cambridgeshire, England.
