Gilbert De was born about 1173 in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales. Gilbert De's father was [2Nd Earl Pembroke] Richard "Strongbow" Fitzgilbert Richard Strongbow Earl Of Pembroke [2Nd Earl Pembroke]/Clare and his mother was [Countess Of Ireland Eve (Aoife) Macmurrough [Countess Of Ireland. He had three sisters named Isabel De, Joan De and Alina De. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died about 1185.
