Maud de was born about 0949 in Chalons, Champagne, France.  Maud de's father was Lambert d' Autun , Count of Chalons and her mother was Adelaide de Adelaide Comtessa de Vermandois. She had a sister named Elizabeth de.  She was the older of the two children. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Foulques III (Fulk) "the Black" Comte d', Ermengarde d', Gerberge d' and Adelaide d'.  She died about 1005.
