Engelbert III Marquis of was born about 1100 in Karnten, Austria.  Engelbert III Marquis of's father was Engelbert II Duke of Carinthia and his mother was Utha von Passau. He had a sister named Mathilde (Maud) von Sponheim of.  He was the older of the two children.  He died on October 6th, 1173.
