Adélaïde was born in 1009 in France.  Adélaïde's father was King/de France Robert II "le Pieux" Capet Duc de Bourgogne and her mother was Princess of Aquitania Constance Blanche d' Arles Princess of Aquitania.  Her paternal grandparents were King Hugh Capet and Adelaide of Poitou; her maternal grandparents were Guillaume III de Taillefer Comte d'Arles et de Provence and Adélaïde Blanche d' Anjou. She had two brothers and a sister, named Henri I, Robert I "le Vieux" and Constance.  She was the second oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 70 on January 8th, 1079 in Monastere de L'O, Messines, France.
