William de Camville , of Clifton 
William de was born about 1145 in Lilbourne Castle, Northamptonshire, England. William de's father was Richard de Camville , of Lilbourne and his mother was Millicent de Stanton de Rethel. He had two brothers and a sister, named Gerald de, Walter de and Isabel de. He was the second oldest of the four children. He had a half-brother named Robert. He died in Clifton Campville, Staffordshire, England.General Notes
Geoffrey was son and heir of William de Canville, by Auberee (living 1233), daughter and heir of Geoffrey Marmion, of Clifton, and of Arrow, co. Warwick. Auberee and her husband are stated by Dugdale and others to be the parents - instead of the great-grandparents - of the Geoffrey in the text. [Complete Peerage III:3 note (d)]
