I had forgotten this (sorry Stewart).

Not exactly. I was only taking it from Moriarty's Plantagenet Ancestry, where he reports getting it from the unpublished research of Friedrich von Stauffenburg, Esq. of Washington D.C. He states that the Chartulary of St Pierre de Chambrai "records a remembrance for the Count Odo (Eudes), son of Count Arnulf and Susanne 'lately Queen of France' . . . It provides for prayers for his soul and the souls of his father Arnulf, his mother Susanne, his sister Matilda, widow of Guilbert de Beaumont."
It may seem odd that he has singled out this sister, but it should be remembered that Eudes is said to have created a scandal by marrying his niece Adele, daughter of Matilda. He is said by Moriarty to have had by her two sons, Richard and Roger, who went to Italy with the Normans, and then married Adele of Bois Ferrand, having "Engelbert of Brienne, Roger Count of St. Pol, and Peter Count of Arlon."
He also cites several additional chartularies.
I would love to see the original research of F. von S., but the above at least looks conclusive regarding Eudes as a son of Arnulf and Susanne. It is the connection of the Brienne, St. Pol, and Arlon to Eudes that is not supported by the information provided.
