Simon (Fitzrobert) De was born about 1131 in Of, Woodham Walter, Essex, England.  Simon (Fitzrobert) De's father was Robert (FitzRichard) De CLARE and his mother was Maud de Saint Liz. He had a brother and a sister, named Walter De and Matilda De.  He was the youngest of the three children. He had six half-brothers named William De, Ralph De, William, Saher De, Robert de and Roger De.
