Clemence Clementia of was born about 1078 in Bourgogne, France.  Clemence Clementia of's father was William I "The Great" Count of Macon & Burgundy and her mother was Stephanie (Etiennette) de Longwy.  Her paternal grandparents were Renaud I Count Palatine of Burgundy and Alice Adelaide of Normandy; her maternal grandparents were Adalbert III Count Longwy , Duke Upper Lorraine and Clemence de Foix. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Stephen (Etienne) "Tete Hardi" Comte de, Raymond of, Ermentrude of, Gisela of, Bertha of and Matilda of.  She was the youngest of the seven children.  She died in 1131.
