Many Worldconnect data bases have Maud/Margaret the daughter of John de Burgh and Hawise de Lanvallei, but the dates would indicate a sister rather than daughter. Both Ancestral Roots and Magna Charta Sureties give John's birth date as 1210, way too late to be father of Maud/Margaret. Many other Worldconnect data bases have Margaret being the daughter of a John de Burgh, born c1180, which is certainly a possibility, given the lack of printed sources. One Worldconnect source, Michael Rugg, has John de Burgh as a son of William de Burgh. With the exception that Michael Rugg does not have Aldhem de Burgo in his ancestry, I think that he is probably correct.
