Marjorie de was born about 1176 in Stoke, Devonshire, England.  Marjorie de's father was William de Briwere , Lord of Sumburne & Torre and her mother was Beatrice de Vallibus de Vaux.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry de Briwere , of Stoke and Miss Walton; her maternal grandparents were Herbert de Vaux , Sir and Grace. She had four sisters named Isabel de, Grecia (Grace) de, Alice de and Joan de.  She was the oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother named Henry.  She died before 1237.
