Robert Sire de was born in 1008 in Breherval, Eure, Normandy, France. Robert Sire de's father was Geoffrey I Duke of Brittany and his mother was Hawise of Normandy. His paternal grandparents were Conan I Duke of Brittany , Comte de Rennes and Ermengarde d' Anjou; his maternal grandparents were Richard I "The Fearless" Duke of Normandy and Concubine. He had three brothers named Alan III Duke of, Eudes Count of Penthievre & and Geoffrey II of. He was the youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 75 in 1083.-
