Matilda (Maud) de was born about 1165 in Bourbon-l'Archambault, Allier, Bourbonnais/Auvergne, France.  Matilda (Maud) de's father was Archambaud VIII Seignuer de Bourbon and her mother was Adelheid of Burgundy.  Her maternal grandmother was Marie of Champagne & Blois.  She was an only child.  She died on June 18th, 1228 in Montelaux Moines, France.  She was buried in Died a Nun in Frontrevault, Montelaux, France.
