Galiena le was born in 1150 in Exning, Newmarket, Suffolk, England. Galiena le's father was William I le Blount , 3rd Lord of Ixworth and her mother was Sarah de Munchensy. Her paternal grandparents were Gilbert le Blount , 2nd Lord of Ixworth and Alicia Colekirke; her maternal grandparents were Hubert de Munchensy , of Edwardstone, Sir and Muriel de Valognes. She had a brother named Gilbert le. She was the younger of the two children.General Notes
Galiena, daughter of William Blund. Geoffrey Ridell, Archdeacon of Canterbury, gave the said Galiena on her marriage to Robert, the land that was Mainer the Porter's at Exning. Confirmed by Henry II. [Complete Peerage VIII:69 note (e)]
