Theobald V Comte de was born about 1130 in Blois, Loir-et-Cher, Orleanais/Centre, France.  Theobald V Comte de's father was Theobald IV Comte de Blois , (II) de Champagne and his mother was Mathilde (Maud) von Sponheim of Carinthia. He had a brother and three sisters, named Henry I Comte de, Marie of Champagne &, Agnes de Ligny de and Alix (Adelaide) of.  He was the third oldest of the five children.  He died in 1191.
