Elizabeth was born about 1388 in Beverstone Castle, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, England. Elizabeth's father was John de Berkeley , of Beverstone, Sir and her mother was Elizabeth Betteshorne. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas IV "The Rich" 3rd Baron de Berkeley and Katherine Clivedon; her maternal grandparents were John Betteshorne , Sir and Goda. She had a brother and a sister, named Maurice de and Eleanor. She was the oldest of the three children. She died about December 8th, 1478.General Notes
