Adam was born on December 18th, 1788 in Kingwood Township New Jersey. Adam's father was Adam Bellis and his mother was Mary Rockefeller. His paternal grandparents were Johann Adam Bollesfeldt Jr. (Bellis) and Anna Catrina Calston; his maternal grandparents were John Peter Rockefeller II and Mary Bellis (Fellefeldt). He was an only child. He died at the age of 61 on December 7th, 1850 in Jay Co. Indiana.-
