Waleran de was born in 1104 in Beaumont, Normandy, France. Waleran de's father was Robert I de Beaumont , 1st Earl of Leicester and his mother was Isabel Elizabeth de Vermandois. He had a brother and five sisters, named Robert II de, Adeline de, Isabel Elizabeth de, Eleanor de, Alice de and Maud de. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William de, Reginald de, Ada de and Gundred de. He died at the age of 62 on April 10th, 1166.General Notes
