Robert IV de Beaumont , 4th Earl of Leicester 
Robert IV de was born about 1150 in Leicestershire, England. Robert IV de's father was Robert III de Beaumont , 3rd Earl of Leicester and his mother was Petronella de Grandmesnil. He had a brother and two sisters, named William de, Amice de and Margaret de. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died in 1204 in (dsp).General Notes

The 4th Earl, who was also the fourth named Robert, accompanied Richard I on the Third Crusade but accomplished a smooth transfer of loyalty to John on the latter's succession in 1199. On his death without issue in 1204 the elder of his two sisters and coheirs, Amice, began calling herself Countess of Leicester.
