John 2nd Baron de was born in 1318 in Buchan, Aberdeen, Scotland. John 2nd Baron de's father was Henry 1st Baron de Beaumont , Earl of Buchan and his mother was Alice Comyn , Countess of Buchan. His paternal grandparents were Louis of Acre de Brienne , Vicomte Beaumont and Agnes Heiress de Beaumont; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Comyn , Sheriff of Aberdeen and Joan le Latimer. He had three sisters named Isabel de, Catherine de and Elizabeth de. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 24 on May 10th, 1342 in Bortant, Lincolnshire, England.General Notes
