Hawise de was born in 1129 in Leicestershire, England. Hawise de's father was Robert II de Beaumont , 2nd Earl of Leicester and her mother was Amice de Montfort. Her paternal grandparents were Robert I de Beaumont , 1st Earl of Leicester and Isabel Elizabeth de Vermandois; her maternal grandparents were Ralph Seigneur de Gael de Montford and Emma Avice de Vermandois. She had a brother and two sisters, named Robert III de, Isabel de and Margaret de. She was the second youngest of the four children. She died at the age of 68 on April 24th, 1197.-
