William de was born about 1210 in Elmley Castle, Worcestershire, England.  William de's father was Walter Walcheline de Beauchamp and his mother was Joan Isabel de Mortimer.  His paternal grandparents were Walter William de Beauchamp , Lord of Elmley and Bertha de Braose; his maternal grandparents were Roger de Mortimer , Lord of Wigmore, Sir and Millicent de Ferrers. He had a brother named Thomas de.  He was the older of the two children.  He died in Elmley Castle, Worcestershire, England.

‌William de and Isabel were married in a religious ceremony in Hanslope, Buckinghamshire, England.  They had three sons and three daughters, named William de, Walter de, John de, Joan de, Isabel de and Sarah de.
