Henry I "The Quarrelsome" Duke of was born in 0918 in Saxony. Henry I "The Quarrelsome" Duke of's father was Heinrich I "The Fowler" King of the Germans and his mother was Matilda Countess of Ringelheim. His paternal grandparents were Otto the Illustrious Duke of Saxony and Hedwige (Edith) Princess of Bavaria; his maternal grandparents were Theudebert Duke of Saxony and Ludmilla Ragnhildis Countess of Ringelheim. He had a brother and two sisters, named Otto I "The Great", Hedwige Princess of and Gerberge Auceps of. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 37 on November 1st, 0955.-
