Aline was born about 1184 in Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England.  Aline's father was Alan Basset Lord Of Wycombe and her mother was Aline De Aline De Grey.  Her paternal grandparents were Of Headington Thomas Basset Of Headington and Adeliza (Alice) De Dunstanville; her maternal grandparents were Philip Fitzrobert Lord De Philip De Grey and Sedzilia De Berkeley. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Philip, Gilbert, Fulk, William, Thomas, Hawise, Alice and Katherine.  She was the second oldest of the nine children.  She died after 1224 in Linton Manor, Bromyard, Herefordshire, England.
