William Bardolf , Lord of Bradewel 
William was born about 1125 in Ravensworth, Richmond, North Ride Yorkshire, England. William's father was Akaris FitzBardolf of Ravensworth. He had two brothers named Hervey FitzAkaris of and Hugo (Hugh). He was the youngest of the three children. He died after 1174 in Bradewel, Norfolk, England.General Notes
The first of this family upon record, William Bardolf, was sheriff of Norfolk and Suffolk, from the 16th to 21st of Henry II [1170-1175], inclusive, and after him came his son and heir, Thomas Bardolf.
