Joan De was born about 1231 in Of, Elmley Castle, Worcestershire, England.  Joan De's father was William BEAUCHAMP Earl of Warwick and her mother was Isabel MAUDUIT heiress. She had five brothers and two sisters, named William, Walter De, John De, James, Thomas De, Sybil De and Sarah De.  She was the oldest of the eight children.  She died in 1280.
