Ralph was born about 1279 in Of, Drayton, Staffordshire, England and his baptism took place in (under 21 14 Mar 1299/1300).  Ralph's father was Ralph BASSETT Baron Basset and his mother was Hawise de GREY. He had five sisters named Margaret, Joan, Elizabeth, Alianor and Maud (Matilda).  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died on October 28th, 1343 in Of, Staffordshire, England.
