Giles was born about 1235 in Badlesmere, Kent, England.  Giles' father was Guncelin BADLESMERE and his mother was Miss PEYFERER. He had a brother and a sister, named Bartholomew and Miss.  He was the youngest of the three children. He had a half-sister named Joan De.
