Jacques Seigneur d' was born about 1150 in Avesnes, Pas-de-Calais, France.  Jacques Seigneur d''s father was Nicholas "Plukiel" Seigneur d' Avesnes and his mother was Mahaut (Mathilda) Countess de la Roche.  His paternal grandparents were Wauthier de Oisy and Ada\Ide of Mortagne; his maternal grandparents were Henry I Comte de la Roche and Matilda de Limburg. He had two sisters named Adelaide d' and Ida d'.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died on September 7th, 1191 in near Arsoef, Syria (in battle).
