William de Audley 
William de was born on October 18th, 1253 in Heleigh Castle, Audley, Staffordshire, England. William de's father was James de Audley , of Heleigh, Sheriff of Salop and his mother was Ela Longespee. His paternal grandparents were Henry de Audley , of Heleigh, Sheriff-Stafford and Bertrade (Bertred) de Mainwaring; his maternal grandparents were William II Longespee , Sir Knight and Idoine de Camville. He had three brothers and a sister, named James de, Henry de, Nicholas de and Joan de. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died before November 12th, 1282 in slain in a Welsh expedition (dsp).General Notes
