Associates of's father was King Ptolomey II Philadelphias of Ptolemy I Soter and her mother was Arsinoe I of Lysimachus of Agathocles I. Her paternal grandfather was King Ptolemy I Soter of Lagos of Philip II; her maternal grandfather was King Lysimachus (Lysimachos) of Thrace ben Agathocles I. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named AKA King, Ptolemy III Euergetes I ben and Berenice II Syra (Berenike) bint.
