Anna was born about 1165 in Constantinople, Turkey. Anna's father was Alexius III Angelus Emperor of Byzantine Empire and her mother was Euphrosine Kamateros. Her paternal grandparents were Andronicus Angelius and Euphrosyne Castamonita; her maternal grandparents were Gregorios Kamateros and Eirene Ducas. She was an only child. She died in 1212 in Nicaea, Turkey.-
