Margaret of was born before 1145 in Alsace, Lorraine, France.  Margaret of's father was Thierry III of Lorraine , Count of Flanders and her mother was Sybil d' Anjou.  Her paternal grandparents were Thierry II Duke of Alsace Lorraine and Gertrude of Flanders; her maternal grandparents were Foulques V Comte d' Anjou , King of Jerusalem and Ermengarde (Erembourg) du Maine. She had a brother named Matthew d'.  She was the younger of the two children.  She died on November 12th, 1194.
