Aethelreda was born in 1045.  Aethelreda's father was King Aethelred II "The Unready" Of England and her mother was Aelfgifu OF NORTUMBRIA.  Her paternal grandparents were King Edgar "The Peaceable" Of England and Elfrida OF DEVONSHIRE. She had a brother and two sisters, named Edmund II "Ironside" Of England, Aelfgifu and Virginia. She had a half-sister named Goda.
