Bouchard de was born on May 26th, 1251 in Of, Valenciennes, Nord, France.  Bouchard de's father was Jean I De AVESNES COUNT OF FLANDERS & HAINAULT and his mother was Aleida Countess Of HOLLAND COUNTESS OF AVESNES. He had five brothers and a sister, named Jean II De, Baudouin de, Guy de, Guillaume de, Floris de and Jeanne de.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 45 on November 29th, 1296.  He was buried in Metz, Moselle, France.
